  This candidate will perform a thorough analysis of current organizational processes, interpret client needs and suggests cost-effective and practical solutions to IT problems. The position requires the ability to understand complex business processes as well as explain these processes to our engineering staff through a set of standardized documents. Extensive communication with our clients is required.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Cimmaron is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to assist our growing development staff.

• Job Description

  • Assist the Quality Assurance group in the day-to-day activities of performing functional testing on a software application against its technical specifications.
  • Participate in technical specification reviews.
  • Create and execute test cases/scenarios.
  • Identify, analyze and document software defects and questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in application functions, outputs and content.
  • Document, track and communicate test plans, test results, analysis and unresolved problems.
  • Contribute to establishment of standards and procedures for application testing.
  • Recommend application improvements or revisions to developers, business analysts and/or project managers.



• Required Skills

  • 2 + years of testing experience in software industry.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work on more than one project at one time.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well independently as well as with other team members.
  • Must have basic competency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a fast learner.
  • B.S. in Computer Science preferred.
